This Cookie Policy explains how MAJiK Systems Inc. ("MAJiK," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (www.majik.io). We use them to measure site traffic and, with your consent, to measure our advertising. Where the law requires it (including the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before any analytics or advertising cookies are set; elsewhere they are on by default and you can decline at any time. We do not sell your data. This policy works alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files a website can store on your device. "Similar technologies" include local storage, which lets a site save information in your browser without using a cookie. Both can be used to remember preferences or to understand how a site is used.

3. How we use these technologies

We use a mix of your browser's local storage and, with your consent, cookies:

  • Product analytics. We use PostHog to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and which links are clicked, so we can improve it. This data is stored in your browser's local storage, not in cookies, and analytics traffic is served from our own domain rather than a third-party tracker.
  • Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to measure traffic and how the site performs. It runs in Google Consent Mode and sets no cookies until you consent.
  • Advertising measurement. With your consent, Google cookies let us measure how our advertising and search campaigns perform and show our ads to people who have already visited the site.
  • Your preferences. We store small settings, such as your light or dark theme choice, in local storage so the site remembers them on your next visit.
  • Your consent choice. We save whether you accepted or declined in local storage so we remember it on your next visit.

4. Cookies we may set

With your consent, we set analytics and advertising cookies from Google to measure traffic and the performance of our advertising. Where consent is required, we set them only after you accept, and you can decline. If you sign in to a MAJiK application or our content management system, we also set a strictly necessary session cookie so that you stay signed in and your session is secure.

5. Analytics and advertising providers

Our analytics and advertising measurement are provided by PostHog and Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads). PostHog stores data in your browser's local storage instead of cookies, masks form inputs, and routes its traffic through our own domain. Google Analytics and Google Ads run in Google Consent Mode: all storage is denied by default and no Google cookies are set until you consent. Once you consent, Google may set cookies to measure traffic, measure our advertising and search campaigns, and show our ads to people who have visited the site.

6. Your choices

When consent is required, a banner lets you accept or decline; where it is not, analytics and advertising are on by default and the banner lets you decline. We store your choice in your browser's local storage, so to change it you can clear this site's cookies and local storage through your browser settings and choose again. Most browsers also let you send a "Do Not Track" or global privacy control signal. Declining does not affect your ability to browse the site.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we introduce new uses of cookies, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date, and where required we will ask for your consent.
